PuddleJumpers #2 Is Coming
Hello, hello.
Been a minute since I've sent an email out. I hope you're well and that you're surviving all this. Some of you have already signed up but I have a secret second mailing list that is just silly little three panel comics I make myself. If you like the sound of that you can sign up anytime. Or read them on my site. Here's one I'm particularly fond of. Unlike horses.

Cutting straight to the chase, I've got a Kickstarter launching on the 30th of March for issue 2 of PuddleJumpers. If you are able to support it in any way whatsoever, I would be so thankful. I think Vicky's doing a phenomenal job with the art and I'm proud of how my comics writing is progressing as well. It's a fun, small-scale story that I hope to keep building into something hopeful and inspiring. If I were to apply a grand vision, think the works of Becky Chambers, but with planes and islands instead of ships and planets.

Whether you back it, share it, whisper its name in crowded rooms, that could make the difference between this comic coming into the world or not. It goes live on Kickstarter on the 30th but you can follow and share it now. If you do, please tag me as well. I'm on Bluesky and Instagram and would love to say thank you.
Thank you 🙏 Right, shall I show you some of the cool stuff that's coming?

Just some of the concept art worked up by Vicky for issue 2.
That's right, your eyes are not deceiving you, that's a robot in a Magnum P.I shirt. Vicky's honestly blown me away with her work, and I'm really excited to get these new characters running about the page. The eagle-eyed amongst you may also have noticed there are some younger versions of Melia and Byron in the designs. There's a flashback sequence in the book and that's one of the big things I'm most excited to see Vicky render. I can't wait to share it with you all if the Kickstarter is successful.
It's a big goal (3,500 smackeroos), but I think the work speaks for itself and I'm hopeful we can hit it. if you've enjoyed what you've seen please do consider sharing it, that could be the difference between the comic's success and failure.
Expect some updates as the campaign goes on, and if you have any questions about what it's like. Please fire them through!
Alex.
