These are projects that I'm working on actively. This is a place for me to share snippets of scripts, ideas, and art work that are floating around before the 'finished' products see the light of day.

The Overrun

Genre: Sci-Fi/Fantasy
Status: Writing
Format:Comic-shaped

A soldier awakens on a long-cold battlefield with no memory of why it was there or who it was. All they have to go by is their robot body, and a countdown written in the sky that has long gone into the negative. Refusing to accept the role assigned to it by a society of fellow amnesiacs, the soldier sets out into the forgotten realm, determined to be defined by its deeds alone.

With themes of self-discovery, heroism, and battling oppression, this project will be of interest to fans of epic fantasy settings, Bird King, and Coda.

Debtors P.R.I.S.M

Genre: Sci-Fi / Horror
Status: Designing
Format: TTRPG (Mothership)

My first attempt at producing a module for the wonderful Mothership system. The module sees players sent to secure intellectual property on a dark-site that's fallen out of contact. The dark-site offers debtors a chance to pay off their corporate loans by allowing their own brains to be used as computing resource. Little does the party know, one over-enthusiastic tech has been running their own experiment on the side, and the players are walking into a deeply unpleasant situation.

For fans of the Mothership game and modules like Warped Beyond Reason and Johnson2.

All Change

Genre: Political Satire/Sitcom
Status: Outlining
Format: Comic-shaped

An ambition-free politician finds herself in power while representing the smallest constituency in all of the UK. Fully expecting to hide behind a desk in a tiny office somewhere, she is instead pulled into No.10 on day 1 because of her extended family's somewhat...occult interests. Turns out there's a big, devil-shaped issue at the heart of this new government and it's her job to deal with it.

This will almost unavoidably be a worse version of The Thick Of It with added hellfire, but I'm looking forward to letting the sarc out.

Tumult

Genre: Weird Fiction/Fantasy
Status: Redrafting
Format: Book-shaped

How do you win against someone who always wins a coin toss? A revolution is brewing in a city where one side is literally luckier than the other. The streets boil with unrest and, in the mid-city, a police inspector works to solve an impossible crime with catastrophic implications. Meanwhile, in the low city, a social outcast is brought in from the streets. He's offered a home, community, and a chance to change the very nature of the city that rejected him.

Concerned with themes of resistance, privilege, and hope(lessness), this will be of interest to fans of Gareth Hanrahan, Robert Jackson Bennet, and Patricia McKillip.
